Corona Virus Update

Update September 25, 2020

Governor DeSantis has lifted many of the restrictions including restrictions on restaurants and other businesses. Social Distancing, Mask Wearing and Hand Washing are still being recognized as methods to reduce spread of COVID 19.

The year 2020 has been challenging because of COVID 19. It is possible that the first half of 2021 will be challenging as well. If the virus is still an issue, there may be quarantining in various states and Canada that won’t allow travel to Florida.

The faster Sea Oats and Englewood Beach and Yacht Club owners let us know of their travel plans the more we can help. One can place units for rent but renters are also in the same situation as owners.

It may be prudent to place units one can’t use into the trading companies like: Interval International (I. I.) 1 800 828-8200 or www.Intervalworld.com   or Resort Condominiums International (RCI) 1 800 338-7777 or www.RCI.com.

If you have cancelled your stay due to the Corona Virus, the resorts do own some units later in 2020 or 2021 that we can “trade” you into at no charge.  If you give me several dates which you can use, I will look to see what is available.

2021 MAINTENANCE FEES – NO INCREASE

The Englewood Beach and Yacht Club Board of Directors and Sea Oats Beach Club Board of Directors will present the 2021 budget with NO increase for the coming year. The maintenance fee will remain at $549.00 for Englewood Beach and Yacht Club. The maintenance fee will remain at $533.00 for Sea Oats Beach Club. The Board and Management felt this was appropriate as 2020 was a hardship for all of our owners.

2021 RENTAL PRICES – NO INCREASE
Rental Prices will remain the same as 2020 prices.

Owner Rentals
We are organizing the 2021 schedule book. We get 80% of our rental inquiries regarding weeks 1-20 starting in October and ending in December.  The earlier we get your response the better chance we have of renting  out your unit successfully. Week 1 will start on January 2, 2021. If you want to place your unit into the rental pool please email your request to me and I will send to you a rental agreement.

For Renters
• We start to take requests for the 2021 Season on October 1, 2020.
• Week 1 starts on January 2, 2021 with Week 15 starting on April 10, 2020.
• If you have interest in renting a unit please email your request to: jalmoslino@vacationfla.com or go to  Contact Us Page

  • For Owners at EBYC and SOBC associations please contact – via email – for questions you have related to your usage of the resort in 2020.

The resorts do own units later in 2020 or 2021 that we can “trade” you into at no charge. If you give me several dates with which you can use, I will look and see what is available.

UPDATE 2 – APRIL 13, 2020 :  Next Update April 20, 2020

In regards to the Corona Virus that we all are experiencing; we hope everyone comes out of this pandemic healthy. Not coming to the resort right now was a good decision to keep you and your family safe.

  • Weeks 14 thru Weeks 17 or when the travel restrictions are lifted.

The association cannot legally give financial relief to owners who cannot use their units, even when there are instances beyond anybody’s control including hurricanes or a situation like this pandemic. Travel bans in Florida and other states make visiting EBYC or SOBC impossible right now. Until these travel bans are lifted owners will not be able to use units. This is an unprecedented situation in that an owner makes a safe decision not to come to the resort while each of these resorts have limited units to use as “make ups” later in the year.

  • For owners at SOBC and EBYC who are also members of RCI and Interval International, it could be prudent to trade your units now. Or to become a member of these companies now.

The ability to trade or “bank” your unit is a strategy you can use now.

Resort Condominiums International (RCI) 1800 338-7777 or www.RCI.com   Interval International (I. I.)  1 800 828-8200 or www.Intervalworld.com.

RCI and II. are companies specializing in the exchange of timeshare units between timeshare owners from all over the USA. The cost is based on a yearly membership fee and an additional transfer fee for each trade you make. The membership fee gets you a travel book with over 3000 resorts to choose from.

  • Another strategy is to contact – via email – EBYC and SOBC associations. The resorts do own units later in 2020 or 2021 that we can “trade” you into at no charge. If you give me several dates with which you can use, I will look and see what is available.

My email for both resorts is:  My email is: Jalmoslino@VacationFla.com. I request that owners at either resort email to me any questions they may have.
